I obtained my major in Psychology from DePaul University and later graduated from DePaul College of Law with my Certificate in Family Law. I have almost exclusively practiced Family law my entire career and specialize in Agreed/Contested Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Adoptions, Removal (moving out of state), Parentage, Employer Withholding issues, Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Maintenance (Alimony), Post Decree matters and QDRO/QILDRO’s. My approach towards resolving legal issues is quick and cost efficient, without compromising quality representation. I believe in being practical and offering you advice on how you should proceed, however the final decision is always yours. In addition to being an Attorney, I am also a Court approved Mediator, Child Representative and Guardian ad Litem.
I am also very active in the legal community and am currently the President of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County and a member of the Seminar Planning committee for the Family Law Section of the Lake County Bar Association. I strongly believe in giving back to society and volunteer as a Teen Court Judge for the Northern Illinois Center for Alcohol and Substance Abuse (NICASA) and also serve on the Board of Directors for the YWCA.
I am proud of my Eastern Indian upbringing and trust it has empowered me to deal with issues related to Family law more effectively. I look forward to meeting with you, discussing the particulars of your case and potentially representing you.
